Dear Ms. Harman,
Congratulations on your timely and important speech on media plurality on 13th June at the Charles Wheeler Lecture.
I very much welcome your call for stricter rules on media ownership and entirely support the suggestion of a regime of obligations.
I strongly feel, however, that a 30 per cent ownership cap within sub-markets is not enough, and urge you to be persistent in showing your support for a lower limit, such as the 20 per cent audience-share threshold suggested by the Media Reform Coalition.
Finally, I hope that you will continue to push for stricter rules in this area until a satisfactory result has been achieved.
